Volkswagen Camper: Concept
Volkswagen have rolled back the years with this cool looking Camper concept: The Bulli. Fitted with an all electric motor with a range of 184miles off a single charge, The Bulli currently occupies the title of ‘unfunded project’ over at VW.
The Bulli is reminiscent of its free spirited sibling, The Camper, but is considerably smaller than the original with seating for only 5 passengers. The back seats fold down to provide a sleeping area.
It’s almost a shame that the reincarnation of The Camper looks so, together – perhaps it would seem more connected to its past if it had panels falling off or discoloured paint? I’m not sure it holds so true to the original concept, but then I think the hippy owners of the original Camper will appreciate The Bulli’s green credentials. (I’m sure the inclusion of an iPad in the concept photos will have many Apple fanboys clambering for this)!
It certainly looks smart, heres hoping it goes from mere concept, to production model!
