BMW moves into Bicycle Market
Yes, you did just read that. BMW, German giant of the automotive (and motorcycle) world are to make a significant move into the bicycle market. In 2011, BMW are launching 4 new bikes, the Touring, the Enduro, the Mountain Bike Cross Country and the Cruise.
The automotive behemoth is certainly well known for its cars and 2 wheeled motorised bikes, but it may surprise many of you to know they have been making high end bicycles for 60 years. That is certainly a pedigree. These bikes certainly look the part, but will they succeed in a saturated market, full of high end bicycles? Time will tell.
