Tex-tile
Tex-tile by Wig Work, illustrates a way to add dimension to surfaces, in this case by exploring the relationships of textiles and tiles in terms of perspective, pattern, and repetition. The tiles are designed to fuse the Portuguese Azulejos tiles with other important Portuguese handmade textiles such as leatherwork, crochet and weave. The manufacture of the tiles, while utilizing both hand made models and laser cut moulds, draws mainly from traditional materials and craftsmanship, and centres on the belief that detail in construction lies at the heart of good design.
