Frozen Drama – Hope Kroll
The collages of Hope Kroll are “…frozen drama or illustration for a story meant to reflect a visual manifestation of psychological, emotional or spiritual states.” She is attracted by books and photographs that possess their own unique history, as they have passed through many hands before reaching her. The titles she chooses for her compositions are of particular importance in adding context and providing a stimulus for the viewer to create their own internal dialogue.
