‘Undercity’ – video exploring New York’s Subways
Underneath the streets of most modern cities, lies a complex array of tunnels and passageways, some in use, many abandoned. These areas are so often out of bounds to the regular public, lying disused and unexplored, sometimes for decades.
Featuring Steve Duncan, and filmed by friend Andrew Wonder, ‘Undercity’ shows areas of New Yorks subways that have been unexplored by the public, exhibiting the underbelly of a modern metropolis.
Possibly lacking the more dramatic of cinemas thoughts on abandoned subways, this video is never the less a glorious window into a dark world.
