Origamic Architecture
Quite often whilst studying, you’ll be so fed with all the model making that you often forget the joy that a beautifully made model can bring.
Origami artist Ingrid Siliakus produces beautiful architectural models out of paper that seem almost impossible. With intricate details that must take hours upon hours of careful work, it makes me feel guilty that I used to moan and protest through a weekend of cardboard cutting, gluing and modelling!
The below model was created for the autumn 2010 issue of the New York Times Key Magazine. The topic of the piece was ‘buildings’ (best viewed in HD).
