Architecture Photo of the day #39 – Spanning
This delightful little bridge wouldn’t look out of place in a Tolkein film, or perhaps on some far flung planet in Star Wars. It is however situated in a village not too far far away… Located in the Spanish town of Ronda, the bridge was constructed in 1793.
The photo caught my eye because it does such a great job of exhibiting the wonderful construction of the bridge. Nestled in a deep but narrow valley, building this bridge in 1793, with the construction methods of the day was quite a feat.
Do you have an architecture photo on Flickr that you think we should feature? Why not drop us an email, we’d love to hear from you!
