Architecture Photo of the day #33 – Watching
Like a lone watchman guarding the city, the gargoyle stares out over Paris. It’s the attention to detail that makes a good building great, and this wonderful Gargoyle on Notre Dame, Paris is stil looking ferocious and focused, nearly 700 years after completion.
This photo beautifully exhibits how powerful a symbol a gargoyle can be – in this instance, symbolic of the power and presence of the church in medieval France. Gorgeous capture!
