Architecture Photo of the day #1
OK, so yesterday evening I decided that there was a whole world of excellent photography out there, and so much of it gets lost in the haystack that is the internet. Well, from today we here at Habitables are going to pull out a needle daily. The photos may not necessarily be what you might expecting – they wont always be of famous buildings or icon panoramas. What they will be though is a perfect capture of how the photographer viewed a particular building. Hopefully the picture will convey feeling and a sense of emotion.
Architecture does strange and wonderful things to all of us, and thankfully through the medium of photography, more and more of us are getting the chance to express this!
This photo was taken by Flickr user Michael Sonnabend, in Haverkamp, Germany. Sadly he doesn’t give any information except a title for his photo ‘Cement Plant’. I think the angle of the shot, along with the monochromatic palette give this photo a powerful appeal. it is only a cement plant, yet the composition certainly makes you look twice. Great shot, and brilliant photo to start off the series!
The photo was taken using the Hipstamatic iPhone app.
