Abandoned architecture, the photos of Richard Nickel Jr

Media

In a few previous posts, here and here I’ve introduced a love of mine: abandoned or damaged architecture. For an architect I think there is something quite sick in this, but there is certainly something extraordinary about buildings that come degraded, but left in a state resembling how they were when they were in use.

Richard Nickel Jr is a self titled Guerilla Preservationist, with a love of architecture. He takes many fantastic photos, my favourite of which are his series’ relating to abandoned buildings. Below are a few fantastic examples of his work.
