Oluce Stones
Lighting outdoor spaces is often undertaken with barely any thought for the relationship they can strike with a visitor. It often seems that lighting is the only consideration, without any focus on the way in which the light is delivered. Oluce, an Italian lighting company think differently. Their ‘Stones’ range has been around for 9 years, providing a unique take on common lighting methods. The latest addition to the aptly names ‘Stones’ range is the ’215′, the largest yet.
Designed for use in larger, public spaces, their rough shapes and uneven edges create what Oluce call artificial nature, bringing a sense of togetherness between the man made environment they occupy and the natural world around them. The stones are skinned in white polyethylene, and contain both an outside and inside lamp, providing direct and diffused light respectively.
