London Transport Furniture

Furniture, Interior

If you’ve ridden the Underground here in London, you will no doubt be aware of the fabrics used across the various lines. What you may not necessarily be aware of is that these were designed by eminent designers, from Enid Marx to Misha Black to Eddie Chapman. Whilst most people may not look at these fabrics on their daily commute and think to use them in their home.

Enid Marx, Shield, 1945

Nevertheless, The London Transport Museum online shop have created a range of home furnishings, some of which come in these delightfully vintage patterns from the Undergrounds history.

Misha Black, District, 1978

Available on a range of seats and sofas (our favourite being the beautifully styled Brighton below), there really is no reason for your commute to end at your front door!
