Wogg 50 Chair, Jöerg Boner
A classic can be a hard thing to redefine. Things are considered to be classics because they appear timeless, they transcend their period to become icons that define quality within their genre or area. Charles and Ray Eames have a catalogue of chair designs that one could argue are classics.
Swiss product designer Jöerg Boner has created the Wogg 50 Chair. Using the latest Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling techniques Jöerg created a highly engineered chair that appears simple in its form. Probably impossible to produce 50 years ago, Jöerg definitely benefited from advancements in computer techniques.
