Space Invaders Couch
Anyone who grew up (or lived) in the 80s is most probably aware of Space Invaders, the very pinnacle of computer gaming at the time, now considered a modern classic. The gameplay was simple and addictive, the graphics likewise, and all this combined to create a piece of computer gaming history, up there with Pac-Man and Paper Boy as early examples of a genre now reportedly worth $100 Billion dollars worldwide annually.
Sadly, the gamers of today require more realistic graphics to be drawn in, and Space Invaders 1-dimensional game play no longer cuts it. Thanks though to its place in the hearts of early gamers, Igor Chak has created a conceptual couch design based on the iconic ‘Space Invader’ character.
Imitating beautifully the simple shapes and dimensions of the original character, the couch is designed to be softer than its form would suggest. The Leather couch is lined with Memory Foam to create a comfortable seat whilst 2 glass trays, 1 in each arm rest provide a great side tables at either end.
