Glass Bathtub

The issue of privacy alters slightly when you get inside your home. More and more we are creating open planned spaces, where the idea of public and private spaces is at the same time being defined and rewritten. We are striving for our homes to be defined as areas rather than rooms, spaces rather than places to perform specific activities. One area of the home that has, for the most part, not been affected as a result of this internal re-imagining is the bathroom.

Within its walls, privacy is sacred. We may remove the privacy protection from many other areas of our homes in favour of openness, but the privacy we desire within our bathrooms has so far remained unscathed. For that very reason, the idea of a glass bathtub is intriguing. If you cohabite, there is a chance that the lines of privacy are further blurred within the bathroom space, but is a bath that leaves nothing to the imagination a step too far? Who knows, but it is at the very least intriguing – not to mention quite smart looking!
