Russell Jones Architects can this week celebrate the successful planning application for the Ty’r Bobin residence in Llangynidr, Wales. The project has been a long journey, with the practice having to balance a number of local heritage and natural beauty considerations along with those of the client.

‘This week we have received a unanimous endorsement and full approval of our Ty’r Bobin project in Llangynidr from the Brecon Beacon National Park planning committee. This project has been through the Design Commission for Wales and has taken 2 years to negotiate through the planning system.
The councillors were very complimentary of the design and said that the “National Park should promote this type of contemporary design within the park, something its lacks. The Park has many quality historic buildings but not any quality modern buildings”
We were extremely pleased with this statement and are now are looking forward to building the house.”
