Trulia Interactive Crime Maps

Buying your own habitable space can be tough. You can view the property, experience the internal spaces, check local amenities, but there are just some things that are to hard to fathom simply from visiting the local area. Thanks to websites such as Trulia, it is at least now possible to add local crime stats to your knowledge arsenal!

The site has data for 48 US cities currently, with more to follow as the service matures. The information on the site is presented in a superb graphical way, making the data not only usable, but powerful and suggestive thanks to the strong use of colour.

Whilst this service is a must have for buying a new home, we advise against searching for your curret home, the crime stats you don’t yet know about may upset you when you do!
