Tree houses – The Amazing TreeHouses of BaumRaum

Architecture

Having a home doesn’t always mean you have to stick to regular notions of what a house is. Some people choose to live in some truly remarkable locations and structures, other reenact their child hoods and live in trees! Below are some fascinating examples of tree house living created by German company BaumRaum, proving that whilst their inhabitants may be living in homes inspired by their childhoods, there is nothing childish about these ultra modern, ultra cool tree houses.

Cliff Treehouse

Built for a family in New York, the Cliff Treehouse is located a couple of hours north of the city itself, situated near the Hudson River. Designed to be an addition to the family home, linked by a slender wooden catwalk, this tree house is a beautifully constructed room with a superb view from its nestling up in the Maple trees.

Treehouse Solling

The first thing to notice about this gorgeous treehouse is its strong vertical orientation. Not a treehouse in the truest sense of the word, but rather a structure that nestles amongst the trees, propped up on large stilts. When the project is completed it will be situated within a pond, creating a glorious relationship between the trees, the water and the double storey treehouse.

Bushhouse Munich

Built to be a combination childrens play area and guest room, this beautifully crafted treehouse features large wall windows offering great views of the surrounding area and a wooden terrace at its base. Like the Solling Treehouse, the Bushhouse is on stilt legs.
