QuaDror Architectural System – Dror Benshetrit
New York based designer Dror Benshetrit has developed a new structural form called QuaDror which he believes could form the basis for a multitude of exciting uses in architecture and design.
QuaDror was developed over the course of 4 years of experimentation and development. The system itself is based on interlocking for in that create an incredible strong and rigid structural member when combined.
Aside from its supportive capabilities, QuaDror also has good acoustic properties that mean the system can be used within internal spaces where there is a need to control the passage of sound.
“Four years ago while experimenting in the workshop, Dror discovered a serendipitous geometry. Initially inspired by the aesthetic and flexibility of this versatile form, he soon realized the structural integrity of the interlocking members” – Studio Dror
