Pioneer Square Station, Seattle
Transport architecture the world over captures the imagination of both architects and users. Over in Moscow plenty of their underground architecture exudes opulence, and upon seeing Pioneer Station in Seattle, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the designers of this station had a zealous communist overlord to please…
Initially created as a bust garage in 1990, designed by architect Jerry McDevitt and artist Kate Ericson it was rebuilt as a link station for for light rail trains in 2007.
