Eldridge Smerin Home, Highgate

Architecture

The following photos are from a house that has been listed for sale in Highgate, London. Obviously beyond our meagre price range, but a sight to behold – we just aren’t sure if that’s a good thing.

The house is clearly large, in a great location, and of considerable size. It does however remind Habitables of what you may get if someone simply throws money at a project. There is a lot of glass (which poses its own problems) and a large quantity of sharp edges and hard looking materials!

Whilst there is no denying this is a high spec house in a wonderful part of London, it may be a little oustenatious for this writer – or perhaps that is the jealousy talking?

The Eldridge Smerin designed home is currently on the market at a (un)reasonable £4,950,000.

I’ll take it! Love the contrast between the old grave stones and the modern glass and concrete. Beautiful.
