Architecture

Today promises alot for the future of the design industry within the UK. Here at the Design Council in London leading figures from the world of politics, business and enterprise, and design will convene and try to address the issue of how the industry will be shaped for the coming generation. Since CABE now falls under the purview of the Design Council, this is an issue of great importance to our industry. What will we be looking for from today?

We feel that architecture has an important role in the shaping of a sustainable, productive design environment for the coming decades, so we will be keen to see policies and ideas that look to create more intertwined eco systems. Collaborative environments that can pull architecture back into the wider design community is a must, and we will be keen to here the opinions Jim Eyre of Wilkinson Eyre and author and broadcaster Kevin McCloud.
