24-HOUR PENDURANCE CHALLENGE: LONDON – Lizzie Mary Cullen
You simply can’t beat a great idea like using a much loved public transport system to travel around and draw 50 iconic landmarks across London purely based on recommendations received through Twitter! Using nothing but Habitables’ favourite bike sharing system (Boris Bikes), Illustrator Lizzie Mary Cullen embarked on an epic 24hr drawing spree that took her all around the centre of the capital to draw scenes at the whim of her Twitter followers.
The mad cap idea was undertaken in conjunction with creative web hub think-work.play.com. Entitled ’24-Hour Pendurance Challenge: London’, the challenge (the result of a wager between Lizzie and the folks of at Think Work Play) required both superhuman cycling AND illustrating – to win, Lizzie needed to complete a drawing every 29mins!
Congratulations go to Lizzie for winning the challenge, if all the publicity from this doesn’t land her a host of amazing commissions, I’m sure there is definitely a reality TV show in this concept somewhere! New York next?
